Trustworthy Company certificate

Infopank continuously collects data on the activities, financial indicators, and payment practices of all Estonian companies. Based on the gathered information, credit ratings and recommended credit limits are calculated. These ratings are updated daily.

To qualify for the badge and certificate, a company must have maintained the highest credit rating for at least 350 days out of the past 365. This means there are no debts to the state or partners, the company’s annual reports and tax declarations are submitted on time, financial indicators are strong, and the company’s background is clean.

Äripäev TOP Company Certificate

Since 1993, Äripäev has compiled various TOP rankings recognizing strong and developing Estonian companies. Every year, we compile over 70 different rankings. Through long-standing efforts, being part of Äripäev's TOP has become a mark of quality, well-known and recognized by companies and individuals alike.

Especially outstanding companies, which have been in the TOP for at least five years, have the opportunity to purchase the platinum package certificate, which includes exclusive platinum certificates and badges, everything included in the gold package, plus a surprise.

Methodology for Compiling Äripäev’s Sector TOP

Data used when compliling 2025 TOP rankings:

  • Revenue (turnover) for 2023, 2024
  • Profit before taxes 2023, 2024
  • Value added per employee 2023, 2024
  • Number of employees >= 3 in 2023; >=2 in 2023; in some sector rankings, a minimum of >= 2 employees in 2024; >=1 in 2023

To qualify for the sector TOP, the company's operations in the relevant sector had to account for at least 51% of its turnover. The company must have been operating for two consecutive full financial years.

For this year’s TOP, Äripäev took data on the largest companies in the sector based on the previous year’s financial results from the commercial register. Companies participated if their financial results were available at the time of data collection.

Companies were ranked based on six indicators. The ranking was calculated using 2024 revenue, revenue growth compared to 2023, 2024 profit before taxes, profit growth compared to 2023, profitability in 2024, and value added per employee in 2024.

Each company was ranked in each of the six categories, and points were awarded according to the ranking. The points were summed up, and the company with the fewest points won.

Possible reasons for missing from the TOP ranking:

  • The company did not have active economic activity for two full financial years (2023–2024).
  • The company’s average equity for the past year or two was negative.
  • The company had no employees or the number of employees was below the required limit.
  • The company’s report was not available in the commercial register’s electronic system at the time of ranking.
  • The company was deleted, liquidated, or bankrupt at the time of ranking.
  • If a parent company's data were consolidated, its subsidiaries could not participate in the same ranking.
  • The company had large tax debts according to the Tax and Customs Board (the rule may be softened for deferred debts).
  • If the company’s annual report included an auditor's remark about incorrect presentation or deficiencies in the financial indicators.
